Hey Guys,

I hope everyone enjoyed their President’s Day!

Today I am reviewing a product that became an instant classic, Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. I am not going to swatch the Naked Palette or anything, this item has been reviewed everywhere. So I am sure you can find swatches if you have not seen it in person already. This review is mostly to give my thoughts on if it is worth purchasing the Naked Palette.

The Naked Palette contains 12 uniquely beautiful neutral eyeshadows. It’s packaging is very sleek and compact, which is perfect for travel. It comes with an eyeshadow brush as well as a mini eyeshadow primer potion. The Naked Palette currently retails for $50. I purchased mine around Christmas and it was $48. The price increased once  Naked2 was released, so I am glad I gave in and picked it up when I did. So for $50 you get 12 eyeshadows, a brush and the primer potion.

Ok I didn’t care for the eyeshadow brush that it came with. It is very practical that it comes with a brush. However, the brush does not really pick up product well. I have to continue to wipe the brush across the shadow to get a reasonable amount onto the brush. So I don’t really use the brush. The primer potion works well but I am not crazy over it. It does help your eyeshadow last all day and prevents creasing. However, it does not do anything more than my ELF primer that cost $1.

So as for the shadows, I love them. I did not think that I would get excited over neutral colors, but these are just gorgeous. I am very pleased that the palette offers such versatility for a neutral palette. It has a good mix of  matte & shimmery finishes. There is a great spectrum of colors ranging from light highlights to dark smokey colors. The most impressive aspect of this palette is the eyeshadow’s formula. The formula is very soft to touch, which makes it very easy to blend and work with these shadows. The formula feels like a velvety cream texture. I love it.

So I do recommend this palette to all. If you are just getting into makeup and need some eyeshadows, this is definitely a great product to invest in to help you get started. I also think $50 is pretty reasonable considering that one Urban Decay Shadow retails for $17, so this is a good value. I hope this review was helpful.
