Spend the day with me… Shopping & Dinner in NYC

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I truly enjoyed myself this past weekend & I thought it would be fun to share with you guys.

I thought it would be fun to bring you along on my day out in NYC. I had a fabulous outing with my husband. It was just one of those perfect days.

So, we headed into the city for the day. We planned on doing some shopping & browsing in Soho & then dinner later that evening.

City bound. All bundled up & yes it was freezing.

So we headed to Soho, which as of recently has become my favorite shopping destination.
Soho has great shopping because unlike other shopping districts in New York City, I feel as though Soho has the variety. I mean you can go from the high end boutiques such as Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton to more trendy shops such as Brandy Melville, Aritiza, Topshop & All Saints.
Soho also offers some affordable fashion spots too such as H&M, Zara & Uniqlo. Literally anything on your shopping list, you will find in Soho.

Arrived! Outside of one my new favorites shops, All Saints Soho.

Ok, so I was planning on treating myself to something very special. As most of you know I have been really working very hard over the last few years. Now that the end of my graduate program is in sight, I wanted to celebrate the start of my LAST semester! So I headed to Balenciaga!

About an hour later, I couldn’t be happier.

With my main purchase completed. It was time to explore the other treasures of Soho.
If you are interested to see the contents of this beautiful Balenciaga shopping bag, let me know.

After some more shopping & snagging some amazing deals, we were off to dinner.

So we headed up to the meatpacking district for our dinner reservation at Pastis. Pastis is a famous French eatery.

Dinner at Pastis was amazing, the food was delicious, the ambience was great & the service was excellent.
I had the braised beef with carrots, which was so tender it melted in your mouth. My husband had the Monkfish with lobster which was perfection, that dish was a special that will be added to their permanent menu very soon, highly recommend. We finished up our evening with a decadent dessert.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post it’s a little different then what I normally do. I just thought it would be
fun to have you guys hang out with me for the day.

Till next time

Vegas Vacation

Hey Subbies,

This is a quick update on me. I have been on vacation for the past several days. I am having a fabulous vacation in Las Vegas. Luckily, I left the NY, NJ right before all of the hurricane warnings. I hope everyone is safe back home.

So I have been in Vegas since Wednesday, 8/24. I got an amazing price of course on my room. Check out some of my previous posts for promo codes to Vegas Caesars properties, if your are interested.

So far, I have gotten in some great shopping. So you guys know I have been on a makeup kick since before I left. Well I was able to get some great goodies at Inglot. Inglot is a very affordable yet high quality makeup brand. I was so excited about my purchases from them. I will share them with you guys later.

I have done some great dining including my fave Rao’s at Caesars.

Last night I saw Kelly Rowland perform at the Chateau night club!

I had a bad experience at Chateau though it doesn’t compare to the experience you get at other Vegas nightclubs. The staff was terrible I will do a more detailed post about Chateau. I did see Tyson Chandler at Chateau that was cool.

I have a few more days of vacay. I have a show to see and few more activities planned. I also have to get in some relaxation time.

That’s it for now. Stay tuned for more of vacation details.

Also when I return home, I will be doing an ELF giveaway so look forward to that.

Something I just discovered

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to share a new travel tool I just discovered.

I have previously mentioned that I am a tech junkie. My ultimate gadget is my iPhone. One of the best features about the iPhone are the apps. There is literally an app for everything.

In my family we do a lot of traveling. Searching for flights or waiting for fares to drop is the most annoying & stressful part about planning a trip.

Well I just recently downloaded the kayak app. This app allows you to search for the cheapest flights because it posts all flights from other websites in one place.

Well the app has this alert feature so you can put in your criteria of what flights you are looking for and set your max price you are willing to pay. The app sends a push notification to your phone on a daily or weekly basis notifying you of any drop in the fares. This is great! It takes all the hassle out of waiting for that perfect flight and fare to pop up. This app just eliminated the only thing I dread about vacation planning.

The app also other useful features such as, flight tracker, to make sure your flight is on time.

Just another reason I love the iPhone! The apps makes life soooo much easier.
