Balenciaga City Updated Review

February Faves

Hello Everyone,

It is time for my monthly faves! February completely flew by, the whole month seems like a blur. So, let’s get into my faves for this month.

1. Balenciaga City Bag – I finally added this iconic bag to my collection. I love it, I am new to purchasing Balenciaga & it was quite interesting learning about their leathers & different textures. One thing I learned is no two bags are identical, which I love! The uniqueness of the leather is what makes this such a sought-after bag.

2. H&M Blue my Mind Nail Polish- the name says it all! I would like to add that the texture of the polish is amazing! It drys to like a gel finish & looks gorgeous.

3. Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation – the best drug store foundation I have ever tried. This is an excellent dupe for my YSL le Teint touché éclat foundation. Let me know if anyone wants a full review & demo for this product.

4. Balenciaga Florabotanica – I love this fragrance. It’s like the perfect combination of a floral, fresh, yet sexy scent. I also think this is a great spring time fragrance & it works for day or night.

5. Hermès Hapi Bracelet- I love this bracelet, it’s great for stacking and is so versatile. I wear it with everything! I also love how it’s like two bracelets in one because you can wear it on the brown or black leather side. I prefer the black for everyday, but if you want to dress it up a bit the brown is lovely.

Ok, guys these are things I have been loving this month. I hope you enjoyed!

Balenciaga Unboxing / Reveal

Hello Everyone,

As you may have seen in my post earlier this week about my NYC shopping trip, I made a very exciting purchase at Balenciaga.
If you haven’t already, you check out that post here:

Well that day I did go into the city with one special purchase in mind. In case you haven’t realized it yet, handbags are kind of my thing. Handbags are definitely what I like to splurge on. So I was planning on treating myself to something extra special & memorable to celebrate my last semester of grad school! Guys, I am very excited that after all of my grueling hard work, the end is in sight! So to kick off my last semester & give myself some momentum, I decided why not get my graduation gift now!
So that’s exactly what I did. Now I knew I wanted a handbag, that was kind of a given for me. I wanted to get something out of ordinary for me, so Louis Vuitton was out. I knew I wanted an all leather bag that was a classic & that I would be able to carry for years & years to come.
Now some other bags I considered were:

*Alexander Wang Rooco bag
*Chanel Jumbo double flap
*Proenza Schouler PS1

All of these bags were gorgeous, however I ended up choosing Balenciaga.

I had never purchased from Balenciaga so of course I did my research. I researched their leathers, colors, bag designs, durability as well as pricing.

In my research I learned that Balenciaga leather bags are so desirable because they are super soft & unstructured. They also come in very standout colors season to season. I wanted something neutral & classic so I knew wanted a black bag.
I also loved how Balenciaga bags do not have any branding or logos on them. So unless you know the brand & bag, you couldn’t tell what kind of bag this is. This is a huge change from my Louis Vuitton bags, that are quite bold & obvious. I love that this bag is still stunning without advertising what brand I’m wearing.

So let’s see what I ended up getting:

Big gift box

Large dustbag!

Introducing my brand-new Balenciaga City Bag in black with regular hardware

I am very excited to own this Classic Timeless bag!

Spacious interior with three pockets

Famous Balenciaga mirror attached to the bag & tucked away in the exterior pocket!

Super soft & pliable leather

Ok guys this is latest addition to my handbag collection. Feel free to ask any questions, if you are considering purchasing this bag, I would be glad to help.

Have a great weekend!

Spend the day with me… Shopping & Dinner in NYC

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I truly enjoyed myself this past weekend & I thought it would be fun to share with you guys.

I thought it would be fun to bring you along on my day out in NYC. I had a fabulous outing with my husband. It was just one of those perfect days.

So, we headed into the city for the day. We planned on doing some shopping & browsing in Soho & then dinner later that evening.

City bound. All bundled up & yes it was freezing.

So we headed to Soho, which as of recently has become my favorite shopping destination.
Soho has great shopping because unlike other shopping districts in New York City, I feel as though Soho has the variety. I mean you can go from the high end boutiques such as Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton to more trendy shops such as Brandy Melville, Aritiza, Topshop & All Saints.
Soho also offers some affordable fashion spots too such as H&M, Zara & Uniqlo. Literally anything on your shopping list, you will find in Soho.

Arrived! Outside of one my new favorites shops, All Saints Soho.

Ok, so I was planning on treating myself to something very special. As most of you know I have been really working very hard over the last few years. Now that the end of my graduate program is in sight, I wanted to celebrate the start of my LAST semester! So I headed to Balenciaga!

About an hour later, I couldn’t be happier.

With my main purchase completed. It was time to explore the other treasures of Soho.
If you are interested to see the contents of this beautiful Balenciaga shopping bag, let me know.

After some more shopping & snagging some amazing deals, we were off to dinner.

So we headed up to the meatpacking district for our dinner reservation at Pastis. Pastis is a famous French eatery.

Dinner at Pastis was amazing, the food was delicious, the ambience was great & the service was excellent.
I had the braised beef with carrots, which was so tender it melted in your mouth. My husband had the Monkfish with lobster which was perfection, that dish was a special that will be added to their permanent menu very soon, highly recommend. We finished up our evening with a decadent dessert.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post it’s a little different then what I normally do. I just thought it would be
fun to have you guys hang out with me for the day.

Till next time
