Spend the day with me… Shopping & Dinner in NYC

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I truly enjoyed myself this past weekend & I thought it would be fun to share with you guys.

I thought it would be fun to bring you along on my day out in NYC. I had a fabulous outing with my husband. It was just one of those perfect days.

So, we headed into the city for the day. We planned on doing some shopping & browsing in Soho & then dinner later that evening.

City bound. All bundled up & yes it was freezing.

So we headed to Soho, which as of recently has become my favorite shopping destination.
Soho has great shopping because unlike other shopping districts in New York City, I feel as though Soho has the variety. I mean you can go from the high end boutiques such as Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton to more trendy shops such as Brandy Melville, Aritiza, Topshop & All Saints.
Soho also offers some affordable fashion spots too such as H&M, Zara & Uniqlo. Literally anything on your shopping list, you will find in Soho.

Arrived! Outside of one my new favorites shops, All Saints Soho.

Ok, so I was planning on treating myself to something very special. As most of you know I have been really working very hard over the last few years. Now that the end of my graduate program is in sight, I wanted to celebrate the start of my LAST semester! So I headed to Balenciaga!

About an hour later, I couldn’t be happier.

With my main purchase completed. It was time to explore the other treasures of Soho.
If you are interested to see the contents of this beautiful Balenciaga shopping bag, let me know.

After some more shopping & snagging some amazing deals, we were off to dinner.

So we headed up to the meatpacking district for our dinner reservation at Pastis. Pastis is a famous French eatery.

Dinner at Pastis was amazing, the food was delicious, the ambience was great & the service was excellent.
I had the braised beef with carrots, which was so tender it melted in your mouth. My husband had the Monkfish with lobster which was perfection, that dish was a special that will be added to their permanent menu very soon, highly recommend. We finished up our evening with a decadent dessert.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post it’s a little different then what I normally do. I just thought it would be
fun to have you guys hang out with me for the day.

Till next time

Louis Vuitton Haul

Hi guys,

I am super excited to share one of my recent LV purchases with you all.

I have been on the hunt for this bag since June 2012 and I am very happy to finally add it to my collection.

So this purchase is very important to me because I consider it to be my Holy Grail Bag. Now I always have tons of faves but I rarely call something a “HG”. So this is huge for me!

Ok a little background, I am serious fan of Louis Vuitton. Over the years I’ve been eyeing this bag and for one reason or another I always passed it up. When I finally decided to purchase this bag, it’s availability was very limited. I search for months for this bag and then I got the shocking news that Louis Vuitton had retired this particular bag.

I was very disappointed to learn that I could no longer purchase this bag new from Louis Vuitton and I had to make the decision to search for a “new” pre-owned item. Since I was searching for a new bag (a bag that was still in new condition) it took me months to find one that was acceptable to me.

So I purchased this bag from a reputable website as well as a trusted seller. Before making my purchase I had this bag authenticated through two different sources. After I got confirmation of its authenticity I was very excited to make the purchase.

So I love this bag for several reasons.
Firstly, the bag shape is Louis Vuitton’s most iconic shape. Secondly, I wanted a bag that I could really dress up yet still wear on a daily basis. I also wanted a bag that was a little more subtle than the monogram bags.

Gorgeous black Epi leather.

I got the Iconic Epi Speedy 30 in Black!
This bag is a variation of the classic Speedy bag. This bag has a few additional features that are not on the monogram speedy bags. This bag come with an external pocket, which I love. It has an additional pocket on the inside. It also has silver hardware versus Louis Vuitton’s usual brass hardware.

I am very pleased so glad I was able to add this bag to my collection! I hope you guys enjoyed!

Feel free to ask questions.

Take care

Louis Vuitton “Starter Bag”

Happy Halloween lovelies!

I wanted to share a really fun post about Louis Vuitton. This post is dedicated to anyone out there who is looking to purchase their very first Louis Vuitton bag.

I wanted to share some of my recommendations and shopping tips for purchasing your first Louis Vuitton. If you are new to the brand picking out your first bag can become a little overwhelming. Louis Vuitton has gorgeous bags as well as many different styles. Therefore, it may become difficult to pick which bag is best for you.

If you are in the market of purchasing your very first Louis Vuitton bag, I will recommend going with one of their most iconic bags, the Speedy 30.
I would recommend selecting the Speedy 30 in the Damier Ebene Canvas.
The Speedy 30 is a versatile top handle bag that can easily be dressed up or dressed down. I feel as though the 30 is the perfect size for everyday. The 25 can be a little small depending on your frame and the 35 and 40 can begin to look like luggage & like you are toting around a duffel bag all day. The 30 is super spacious and again I feel as though it’s the ideal size for everyday use.
Due to the fact that this is a top handle bag it could be worn handheld or in the fold of your elbow. Although this is a handheld bag it is surprisingly comfortable to carry because the bag is so lightweight it makes it very easy to carry around.

I recommended Damier Ebene canvas for several reasons. Firstly, the Damier Ebene Canvas is Louis Vuitton’s original signature print. Many people believe that the Monogram LV Canvas is the signature print, when in fact that print was introduced later by Louis Vuitton’s son.
Therefore, if you are looking to purchase a truly classic piece I would recommend purchasing something in the Damier Ebene Canvas.

Another reason that I would purchase the Damier Ebene Canvas over the Monogram LV canvas is that the Damier Ebene canvas comes with the dark brown treated leather. Where as the Monogram LV Canvas comes with the untreated vacheta leather. In my opinion the untreated leather requires a little bit more maintenance because you have to be mindful to not get stains or water spots on the bag as it will patina unevenly.
Also I feel like if you are new to the brand, you may be unaware of how the untreated leather ages & you may not know how to properly care for it.

So I hope these tips were helpful and happy shopping!
